大道之行也，天下为公，选贤与能，讲信修睦。故人不独亲其亲，不独子其子，使老有所终，壮有所用，幼有所长，矜、寡、孤、独、废疾者皆有所养，男有分，女有归。货恶其弃于地也，不必藏于己；力恶其不出于身也，不必为己。是故谋闭而不兴，盗窃乱贼而不作，故外户而不闭，是谓大同。

在大道施行的时候，天下是人们所共有的，把品德高尚的人、能干的人选拔出来，（人人）讲求诚信，培养和睦（气氛）。因此人们不仅仅奉养自己的父母，不仅仅抚育自己的子女，使老年人能安享晚年，使壮年人能为社会效力，使孩子健康成长，使老而无妻、老而无夫、幼而无父、老而无子、残疾的人都有人供养。男子有职务，女子有归宿。对于财货，人们憎恨把它扔在地上的行为，却不一定要自己私藏；人们都愿意为公众之事竭尽全力，却不一定为自己谋私利。因此_邪之谋不会发生，盗窃、造反和害人的事情不发生，（家家户户）都不用关大门了，这就是所谓的理想社会。
在深海里藏着一条捕猎者，它正虎视眈眈地盯着猎物，这家伙长着一个大大的嘴巴，它就是后颌鱼。后颌鱼住在珊瑚礁附近的浅海砂石海底，它的个头不大也就十厘米长，小的只有八九厘米长，却长着一张大嘴巴和一对凸起的大眼睛，活像某个科幻片中的外星人。它那张大嘴巴隐藏了许多秘密。
大嘴可不是用来装饰的。首先和它的住宅息息相关。它用嘴先找一个非常隐蔽的地方，然后用嘴巴把泥沙从石头缝里搬出来，直到挖出一个小洞能塞下自己。再从外面拿一些和自己身体颜色相像的石子放在洞口，再拿些海螺壳、牡蛎壳放在洞壁上，以防坍塌下来。只要它进入洞内，就和石头化为一体。要是它想吃东西就张开嘴守株待兔，要是被天敌发现了，只要躲入洞内，天敌就束手无策了。
后颌鱼的大嘴还可以孵育自己的小宝宝呢。结婚之后，妈妈会生下许多许多的小鱼卵，爸爸会把鱼卵吞进嘴里。可不要吓着啊，那可不是吃它自己的宝宝，是在孵化它们。后颌鱼爸爸一般一天只要张开嘴一次，给自己的小宝宝们透透气，让它们能够吸收到充足的氧气，以便更加健康成长发育。
后颌鱼的建筑以及孵育宝宝的方式是不是很特别呢？在大海洋里还有许多这样的动物。
